Shady Hallows is a local non-profit haunted attraction created and owned by Chris Neuwirth. Shady Hallows was started in the somewhat recent year 2006 (Time has really flown by since then!). Although thats when we consider it to have began, there is much more of a history. For many years before, we had a simple graveyard and greeted children as they would come up for candy on halloween. We considered this just a fun neighborhood event and didn't intend to get as large as we have today. My inspiration to do this can be credited to a neighbor down the street who made me say, "Wow thats cool!" when I was younger. He was the talk of the neighborhood, and with my heart set that I could do something like it, the process began. Since then we have gone up, and haven't looked down. Last year was very successful and we got nearly 600 visitors. We had raving reviews and were told we needed to get the word out more, and that it was really worth the time. We didn't recieve one negative comment and feel that it was quite the hit. This year has much bigger plans though. With a slightly bigger budget, and still more land to work with.... I can simply say we will capture you're fears. Expansions for this season are not completely decided, but we are taking a much larger step than previous years and really working on detail this year. One thing that's set in stone is a new section to the haunted house. This section is called "Carnevil" and is a circus gone wild. Once again, no details for this are set in stone. On another note, we will once again be recomending a $3 donation, half going towards the St. Cloud Humaine Society. Finally thanks to all who came through last year, and those who donated!
